Past Restructurings

Restructurings under the previous legislation of the Municipalities Act

  • April 29, 2011 – The Community of Richmond dissolves into unincorporated area. 
  • November 17, 2014 – The Community of Central Bedeque and the Community of Bedeque amalgamate to form one municipality – the Community of Bedeque and Area
  • December 15, 2017 – The Community of Brackley and the Community of Winsloe South amalgamate to form one municipality – the Community of Brackley

  • September 28, 2018 – The Rural Municipality of Lady Slipper and the Rural Municipality of Ellerslie-Bideford amalgamated to form one municipality – the Rural Municipality of Central Prince
